Before You Spend Money On A Property Seminar
Find Out If They Are Worth The Expense!

If you are new to property investment and you are thinking about attending a property seminar … it might pay you (literally!) to think again.

Look on internet property forums and you will find they are full of investors who have attended property seminars and found them to be short on content and property investment information ... and long on the ’hard sell’.

These investors will tell you that more often than not they quickly realised that the aim of the property seminar they attended was not to teach the A-Z of property investment but to extract high fees … often £1,000’s of pounds … just to join an ‘exclusive buying club’.

This buying club supposedly gives you exclusive access to discounts and methods of buying investment property at below market value which enables you to subsidise your deposit and minimise your cash investment.

The ‘free’ property seminar you attend could therefore easily end up costing you £1.000’s of pounds and what is even worse is that you pay this money to get below market value discounts and information that, far from being exclusive, are freely available to the experienced investor.

Of course, not every property seminar is merely a ‘hard sell’. But the unfortunate fact is that many are and our advice is to proceed with caution before attending any seminar.

The best advice is always to seek independent opinion from previous attendee’s of property seminars and you can do this on the two main internet forums devoted to property investment -

You can either search for the name of the company doing the property seminar or just post a question and you will almost certainly find forum members who will reply with their honest and unbiased opinion.

By reading the various threads (discussion points) on these forums you will effectively be participating in an ongoing ‘property seminar’ and you will find that your knowledge and understanding of the basic and finer points of property investment will expand enormously.

You will also find details of property seminars which really are worth attending, often on specialist subjects which will help you to formulate your own investment strategies.

Also, in many areas of the country, groups of property investors have regular meetings where you can network, learn from your peers and listen to expert speakers. And the good news is these ’property seminars’ are free!
